USO Iowa Teen/Tween: Holiday String-Along

Get creative with wood, nails, a hammer, and string during the USO Teen/Tween: Holiday String-Along workshop!

Join string artist Megan Unsicker and USO Iowa as youth participants craft and create a string art masterpiece. Each youth will receive a DIY string art kit of their choice (see above photo of ornament, Santa hat, wreath, or snow flake) in the mail, and then log on to the virtual session on Monday, December 21st at 3:30pm Central where participants will receive step-by-step craft instructions. This event is for military youth ages 11-18 who reside in or whose parent currently serves in a command based in Iowa.

    We are going to provide recreational games, support fitness competitions, and provide cold beverages to a fitness event for a Unit training at camp dodge. Our volunteers will help time the events, referee the events, and provide support as needed.
